CHENNAI - YOU INSPIRED US

The city of Chennai and many parts of Tamil Nadu have received some record breaking rain since a couple of weeks which resulted in flood situation in Chennai, thousands of people got strucked in their homes /airports, railiway stations but while our politicians were raging their voice over nonsense topics like intolerance in parliament, chennaites were showing their tolerance by coming together in the hour of need.

I am so proud when I wrote this that while there is so much hype over hindu muslim intolerance towards each other in media, there was a student there in chennai named Younus who rescued a Hindu woman, who was suffering from labour pain at the time, from a dangerously stranded place and moved her to a safer place. He set an excellent example of humanity when he took part in rescue operations and saved many stranded people.

While the heavy rains in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu created huge devastation, it also brought people of different caste, creed and religion together. It feels so great to read about thousands of such heroes who came together in this hour of need. I didn’t saw any chennaite blaming any political party at this moment coz they are busy in helping each other. This is what Chennai taught us…They took actively part in rescuing themselves,, they didn’t waited for help but took part in helping other.

Chennai floods showed that there is Tolerance among Indians and we are united……..no matter how much our political parties try to divide us for their own political interests but we Indians are together. It’s a slap on all those who tried to divide us in the name of intolerance. Pics of Art of living workers, RSS activists, Muslims cooking foods in temples and Hindus being sheltered in Mosque are some examples that shows that humanity is above any religion caste or creed and we Indians live proudly under it.

I salute these people who are helping in making Chennai to revive its old charm. I am deeply touched by Sex workers from Maharashtra’s who dipped into their savings and survived on just one meal a day to collect Rs 1 lakh, that was donated by them today towards relief work in rain-ravaged Chennai.

I am equally happy to read that financial institutions, banks waived penalty on late EMI payments.Ministry of external affairs too announced if someone’s passport is lost or damaged in floods, PSK chennai will issue u fresh passport free of charge.

All these efforts show that we all are together and no one can ever break us in the name of our religion and caste.
I also salute Indian Defense forces who always act as god sent angels in such disastrous situations. Bravo and kudos to them.

Stay Strong Chennai. You will be back to normal soon. Hats off to you and your fighting spirit. You have united Indians and also sent a strong message that we are together and Life is not just about earning money, its about living together and helping each other.

God bless all.

Scrap the current reservation policy and then claim yourself to be secular

As I woke up today, the first thing that I saw on TV was the agitation in Gujarat over Patel’s demand for reservation. The outrage of people went on to streets and they destroyed the government property everywhere. I have always expected such an outrage by the general category. I feel  fear in saying that what these patels are doing in Gujarat can turn into a nationwide agitation if current reservation policies didn’t changed.

I found it ironical that even after 69 years of independence , This nation which claims itself to be secular, gives reservations on the basis of someone’s caste , creed and religion. I understand the fact that earlier during post independence, there was a huge gap between people of different castes and it was mandatory then to bridge this gap and make everyone equal but unfortunately during all these years this whole reservation policy became the most fav vote gimmick for our politicians and they used it for their political interests.

Our politicians used these poor people in the name of reservations for the vote bank.  This is just because of this politics that now almost every caste and tribe demands reservation for them and their leader becomes the face of that particular tribe which comes in poltics and then all this process of using people's emotions comes and take the shape of a new caste based party.  Unfortunately the good idea behind starting these reservations once is lost now, it was meant to make people equal but now this reservation is actually dividing people. Almost everyday someone is coming up demanding separate reservations for their community which is dangerous for any democratic nation.

I have always believed in equality and I admire the reservation system then in 1960’s when it helped poor people to come up and live their life with dignity but now its working anti democratic which  is destructive for this nation hence I believe it’s high time that Reservations should be banned in this nation and if possible it should be given only  on the basis of someone’s economical condition not on their caste, religion or creed.Only then this continuous demand for reservations will come to end.

I know it’s difficult for any govt to take this move because as I said it earlier that its almost every party ‘vote bank card but believe me for national interest one has to take such strong decisions and I expect such move by present Modi Government.

What Patels are doing in gujrat is a very expected move. I always had this in mind that there will come a time when even general category people will demand reservation and see the time comes. It can take a very destructive mode if didn’t tackled properly hence  I request each political party to reexamine the current reservation policy and stop this reservation venom spreading in the whole country.

Equality brings unity so please stop dividing people in the name of reservations now. India doesn’t need any special reservation for any community now.

Time to discard all the rotten policies and bring the change.

"Instead of banning the Documentry, Ban movies which portrays women as a thing to be used"

As I was watching the  BBC documentary , anger, frustration , retaliation n so many more emotions were coming out fiercely…..How the hell , men in our society be so so narrow minded……..at this era of modernization and education,,,listening to people, that too advocates on women was heart wrenching…I Can understand the rotten mentality of Mukesh, The victim who executed this rape  but what outraged me is the statement of M.L. Sharma, the defense lawyer for the rapists, who said “"A girl is just like a flower. It gives a good looking, very softness... performance, pleasant . On the other hand a man is just like a thorn. Strong, tough enough. That flower always needs protection. If you put that flower in a gutter it is spoilt. If you put it in the temple, it is worshiped,"

Is he serious?  stupid fellow, a lawyer by profession, how the hell can such person be a lawyer, do u think he can ever bring justice to anyone??

He also says at one point in the documentary, "India has the best culture. No place for a woman in our culture.
It’s outrageous and I don’t know how this bloody fellow must be treating his wife, sister, daughter & mother in home…….

I believe BBC Documentary is a mirror to our society and I strongly feel it should not be banned by the government,,,,, there are people in our nation who still lives with this mentality and hence instead of escaping we should accept it courageously & work for changing this mindset……there is nothing about banning it……I would urge to everyone watch it……you need to know about it is -- you need to see it. The content does not incite. It serves as a mirror as well as a looking glass. To see in great detail what happened on the night of December 16, 2012.

Infact I would say our government officials too should see it,  at least they will get an idea where to start work from,,,,,its all about mentality  …….instead of banning this real documentary , we should ban all such movies where women are shown like puppets and an object  to be used.

We need to make understand our people that a girl is as much human as these men are, women are not a thing to be used or to be portrayed as a ornament..women is an individual who deserves everything and can do anything,,,,,parents should start teaching their kids right from birth that girls and boys are two different human beings but possesses the same quality , be it their powers or their rights. Both play an important role in life and hence both should always care and respect each other.

I must say each one of you should see it to understand what it means for you as an individual and for the country as a collective. I implore you to see it and decide for yourself how you feel about it.

May god give us wisdom to understand and strength to fight for our rights.

Dying humanity- please save it

When Schools becomes bloodied & Battlegrounds, you should know that your "civilization" has ended. Its over. Rest is only Dust in air.
It’s just all dust everywhere, from yesterday’s Sydney siege to today’s Peshawar killings. My heart sank as I think of tomorrow. What the hell is going on in this world? Terrorism was always there in world and we Indians were their favorite targets but in the last few months the pace with which this word terrorism has expanded in the whole world, it’s ironic and shocking.

What the purpose of UNO, G8, G-20, SAARC, EU if we together can’t combat this terror blood shell. Every time something like this happens, we cry, show our outrage, and then move on, but after today’s innocent toddler’s killings that too 104 till now, are we able to sleep tonight? Where’s the future? My heart just sank into my stomach. Everything their parents did to raise them over 15 years was taken away in 15mins.

Don’t know what their ideology is and which god they worship but as far as I am aware there is no such religion in the world and no such god who supports killing. Taliban – you are a clan of cowards. Bloody sick people. I wish your body don’t even get burial after u die. Never seen such bastards as you people are .

The biggest threat to humanity isn't nuclear weaponry. It's religious fundamentalism. And it’s my appeal to the world leaders. Kindly wake up! Don’t run after these nuclear weapons and moon, kindly kill this terror that has killed humanity.

126 is the figure that officials in Pakistan claiming to be dead in today’s attack in army school, Peshawar. Don’t know how long I will believe it but today at this moment, it feels like “There is no god”. How can he see such killings? 110 little kids, killed while studying. What kind of a religion encourages killing of small kids? What do they want to prove killing innocents?

World has seen a lot of bloodshed now, kindly stop this bullshit. I urge People in power , kindly be together at this moment and remove these bastards who call themselves JEHADI. HUMANITY IS DYING ,PLEASE SAVE IT!

Rest in peace kids! For all of you who died today, I can just say that Heaven will be much safer for you than this bloody world……

Profound grief, deathly silence !

What is it with us Indians and godmen?

Now that Baba Rampal Dass is safely behind bars after a day's-long police siege of his Hisar fortress, it’s now time to ask: What is it with us Indians and godmen?

This has become a truly hackneyed story. Every some months, a godman who you and I may never have heard of, but who has thousands (if not lakhs) of fanatical devotees, is charged with crimes ranging from financial fraud to sexual molestation to outright murder. The guru goes into hiding; his followers scream conspiracy and sometimes are even ready to take up arms against the state. Finally, the guru surrenders, and disappears into prison. But the faith of his followers remains unshaken.

Be it rampal, dera sacha sauda’a baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Nirmal Baba or indian’s personal favorite “Baba Asaram” , all these baba’s have one thing in common and that’s their cleverness and people’s foolishness. Yes I do call them intelligent because in such a highly modernized age where we all call ourselves educated; it’s surprising how cleverly these babas have brainwashed us.

Most disconcertingly, even educated followers seem to be willing to accept such claptrap. The sight of these supposed godmen amassing wealth, travelling in luxury SUVs, displaying an inordinate fondness for expensive watches and developing ashrams that look like spiritual Disneylands, strangely, does not seem to disgust them or make them aware that this brand of spirituality is a business worth over Rs. 1,000 crores annually.

As I was reading yesterday’s The tribune, Journalist Sushil manav very briefly explained how Baba rampal fooled its followers, rampal’s chair was fixed on elevated stage that helped him to project himself as a man with divine power, the enclosure was fitted with teleprompter for him to read “shloaks” from the  vedas to give the impression of a learned and enlightened man.  I am hell of shocked that media who is always on hunt for investigation &  exclusive news Can’t even expose such godmen even after knowing how much money these godmen have made.

If the media is a mirror to society then perhaps  they should remove  such shows from the mainstream  channles. Even after many exposures of such baba’s , all the national channels including Aaj Tak, Star TV, and Zee tv shows these baba’s on their prime-time slots .  In a way I would say the Indian media promotes superstition. It’s a high time media should refrain from featuring them.

“Changes are taking place in class status, gender roles, material wealth and structure of society,” and hence, an individual who feels unable to control the uncertainty of his life is more likely to believe in those who promise to help him gain some measure of control.
But believe me no amount of believing in such guru’s helps you. Its just the positivity in you that cures your illness. Start believing in yourselves and believe in the magic of your own self. Positive energies are all around us, we just need to look for it and adopt it. Doing well is the only thing that can give us peace. Help the poor, feed the hungry, educate someone, protect someone and most importantly love someone. These simple things will give your life a new direction and enthusiasm. The time that you spend in standing in long queue to have a look at your guru, try spending the same in helping someone; I am sure that will give you more peace and inner satisfaction.

Believe in the miracles that your goodwill can make in the life of others & stop letting anyone cheat you in the name of god!!!

Stay blessed!

Love

Kiran

awards being politicised

Awards are meant to be given to those who have done a remarkable work in their respective professional fields, those whose work is an inspiration for many n those who have made our nation proud by their work. Indeed India is full of people who have done extraordinary work in their careers n time to time this nation do acknowledge their work by giving the awards.

Bharat Rata is the Highest Civilian Award but unfortunately controversies never leave this award. Soon after news trickled in that former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee and freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose might be awarded the Bharat Ratna, the present government ran into a bout of fresh controversy.

While the Congress immediately declared that BSP founder Kanshi Ram and Aligharh Muslim University founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan should also be considered for the country's highest civilian award. it seemed that ahead of the state Assembly polls, the Congress was keen to up the ante against the NDA government, implying that the latter is anti-religious minorities and Dalits.

In 2013, the BJP demanded that Amartya Sen's Bharat Ratna be withdrawn after he said that he didn't want to see Narendra Modi as the country's Prime Minister. There was also a report on how the UPA government scrapped their initial decision to award hockey great Dhyan Chand the Bharat Ratna and hurriedly decided to confer it on Sachin Tendulkar instead. Every one of us knows why the UPA government must have been desperate to give Tendulkar the award last year. Given the dire straits it was in and how influential a youth icon Sachin Tendulkar is, awarding the cricketer would help the government tap into mass youth sentiment. That the move didn't yield the desired result in the polls is a different story altogether.

To present a Award is a way to appreciate someone, to acknowledge their work and to honour them & awards like Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan , Padma Vibhushan & Bharat Ratna are the highest awards of India. These awards are given on behalf of this entire nation, hence nepotism, politicism in such awards is really unfortunate and they hurt the sentiments of common Indians. But it seems like that this year too, the Bharat Ratna will earn its share of controversy.
