Dying humanity- please save it

When Schools becomes bloodied & Battlegrounds, you should know that your "civilization" has ended. Its over. Rest is only Dust in air.
It’s just all dust everywhere, from yesterday’s Sydney siege to today’s Peshawar killings. My heart sank as I think of tomorrow. What the hell is going on in this world? Terrorism was always there in world and we Indians were their favorite targets but in the last few months the pace with which this word terrorism has expanded in the whole world, it’s ironic and shocking.

What the purpose of UNO, G8, G-20, SAARC, EU if we together can’t combat this terror blood shell. Every time something like this happens, we cry, show our outrage, and then move on, but after today’s innocent toddler’s killings that too 104 till now, are we able to sleep tonight? Where’s the future? My heart just sank into my stomach. Everything their parents did to raise them over 15 years was taken away in 15mins.

Don’t know what their ideology is and which god they worship but as far as I am aware there is no such religion in the world and no such god who supports killing. Taliban – you are a clan of cowards. Bloody sick people. I wish your body don’t even get burial after u die. Never seen such bastards as you people are .

The biggest threat to humanity isn't nuclear weaponry. It's religious fundamentalism. And it’s my appeal to the world leaders. Kindly wake up! Don’t run after these nuclear weapons and moon, kindly kill this terror that has killed humanity.

126 is the figure that officials in Pakistan claiming to be dead in today’s attack in army school, Peshawar. Don’t know how long I will believe it but today at this moment, it feels like “There is no god”. How can he see such killings? 110 little kids, killed while studying. What kind of a religion encourages killing of small kids? What do they want to prove killing innocents?

World has seen a lot of bloodshed now, kindly stop this bullshit. I urge People in power , kindly be together at this moment and remove these bastards who call themselves JEHADI. HUMANITY IS DYING ,PLEASE SAVE IT!

Rest in peace kids! For all of you who died today, I can just say that Heaven will be much safer for you than this bloody world……

Profound grief, deathly silence !

What is it with us Indians and godmen?

Now that Baba Rampal Dass is safely behind bars after a day's-long police siege of his Hisar fortress, it’s now time to ask: What is it with us Indians and godmen?

This has become a truly hackneyed story. Every some months, a godman who you and I may never have heard of, but who has thousands (if not lakhs) of fanatical devotees, is charged with crimes ranging from financial fraud to sexual molestation to outright murder. The guru goes into hiding; his followers scream conspiracy and sometimes are even ready to take up arms against the state. Finally, the guru surrenders, and disappears into prison. But the faith of his followers remains unshaken.

Be it rampal, dera sacha sauda’a baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Nirmal Baba or indian’s personal favorite “Baba Asaram” , all these baba’s have one thing in common and that’s their cleverness and people’s foolishness. Yes I do call them intelligent because in such a highly modernized age where we all call ourselves educated; it’s surprising how cleverly these babas have brainwashed us.

Most disconcertingly, even educated followers seem to be willing to accept such claptrap. The sight of these supposed godmen amassing wealth, travelling in luxury SUVs, displaying an inordinate fondness for expensive watches and developing ashrams that look like spiritual Disneylands, strangely, does not seem to disgust them or make them aware that this brand of spirituality is a business worth over Rs. 1,000 crores annually.

As I was reading yesterday’s The tribune, Journalist Sushil manav very briefly explained how Baba rampal fooled its followers, rampal’s chair was fixed on elevated stage that helped him to project himself as a man with divine power, the enclosure was fitted with teleprompter for him to read “shloaks” from the  vedas to give the impression of a learned and enlightened man.  I am hell of shocked that media who is always on hunt for investigation &  exclusive news Can’t even expose such godmen even after knowing how much money these godmen have made.

If the media is a mirror to society then perhaps  they should remove  such shows from the mainstream  channles. Even after many exposures of such baba’s , all the national channels including Aaj Tak, Star TV, and Zee tv shows these baba’s on their prime-time slots .  In a way I would say the Indian media promotes superstition. It’s a high time media should refrain from featuring them.

“Changes are taking place in class status, gender roles, material wealth and structure of society,” and hence, an individual who feels unable to control the uncertainty of his life is more likely to believe in those who promise to help him gain some measure of control.
But believe me no amount of believing in such guru’s helps you. Its just the positivity in you that cures your illness. Start believing in yourselves and believe in the magic of your own self. Positive energies are all around us, we just need to look for it and adopt it. Doing well is the only thing that can give us peace. Help the poor, feed the hungry, educate someone, protect someone and most importantly love someone. These simple things will give your life a new direction and enthusiasm. The time that you spend in standing in long queue to have a look at your guru, try spending the same in helping someone; I am sure that will give you more peace and inner satisfaction.

Believe in the miracles that your goodwill can make in the life of others & stop letting anyone cheat you in the name of god!!!

Stay blessed!

Love

awards being politicised

Awards are meant to be given to those who have done a remarkable work in their respective professional fields, those whose work is an inspiration for many n those who have made our nation proud by their work. Indeed India is full of people who have done extraordinary work in their careers n time to time this nation do acknowledge their work by giving the awards.

Bharat Rata is the Highest Civilian Award but unfortunately controversies never leave this award. Soon after news trickled in that former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee and freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose might be awarded the Bharat Ratna, the present government ran into a bout of fresh controversy.

While the Congress immediately declared that BSP founder Kanshi Ram and Aligharh Muslim University founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan should also be considered for the country's highest civilian award. it seemed that ahead of the state Assembly polls, the Congress was keen to up the ante against the NDA government, implying that the latter is anti-religious minorities and Dalits.

In 2013, the BJP demanded that Amartya Sen's Bharat Ratna be withdrawn after he said that he didn't want to see Narendra Modi as the country's Prime Minister. There was also a report on how the UPA government scrapped their initial decision to award hockey great Dhyan Chand the Bharat Ratna and hurriedly decided to confer it on Sachin Tendulkar instead. Every one of us knows why the UPA government must have been desperate to give Tendulkar the award last year. Given the dire straits it was in and how influential a youth icon Sachin Tendulkar is, awarding the cricketer would help the government tap into mass youth sentiment. That the move didn't yield the desired result in the polls is a different story altogether.

To present a Award is a way to appreciate someone, to acknowledge their work and to honour them & awards like Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan , Padma Vibhushan & Bharat Ratna are the highest awards of India. These awards are given on behalf of this entire nation, hence nepotism, politicism in such awards is really unfortunate and they hurt the sentiments of common Indians. But it seems like that this year too, the Bharat Ratna will earn its share of controversy.

“Be the heroine of your life"

We all have heard and read a lot that, in a country like India where goddesses are worshipped, women are treated like commodity. We have been told again and again that women in India are treated as a pleasure doll by men who use them for amusement to satisfy their lust and then they throw them away. Women are being harassed and assaulted physically mentally and emotionally since years but her plight has still not ended and their condition is deteriorating day by day. “Hundreds of time we have been told that all women need is respect care and attention, give it to her and she will make your life heaven”…

All that I have written above is true and I strongly believe that yes, our society still holds negative mentality for women. No matter how modern we become or how much broad minded we show ourselves to be, we are still a male dominated society.  But wait; think again, do we ever think why women need all such sympathies and consolations? What’s the need to say that women want respect n then only she can make your life heaven” stating these sorts of things for women actually show them more like a commodity.

I felt a need to write today by an instance that happened to me in the morning when I received a message from someone stating she was mentally and sexually used by somebody and then ditched later. He promised her of marriage and did what he wants with and later married a girl of his parent’s choice. Girl feel traumatized now and she wants to speak up to his newly wed wife now.  In the first instance I felt a strong agitation for the boy and his family, to ditch someone is sin and he should be punished for that and I still go with this but what outraged me is the state of girl too……being myself as a women, I do understand what a girl in that situation must be feel like, but still who the hell gave that guy permission to use her…no one dares to touch us without our permission (Rapes / forceful assault are exception and a separate issue). Why we girls don’t have control over ourselves. firstly we submit ourselves to other in the name of love and then later when something bad happens we cry and go on to blame our gender for that…..many people may find me wrong but reality is that many a times we women our self-responsible for our pathetic condition.

Are we so insecure, or dependent that some once can use us in the name of marriage? I feel surprised to even think of that. Marriage cannot be imposed on someone….marriage is a beautiful institution which binds two people in one thread. It’s a mutual decision and comes out of respect and love.

I feel terrible for girls who let themselves being used and then claim they are girls and men don’t respect them. We don’t want respect. Just because we are girls doesn’t mean we should be always respected and listened to. Respect is earned not demanded….women are strong and independent enough to earn that respect and love.

It’s high time now to understand that we women need not to say ”we are women and hence it happened” every time… we should take the responsibility of our every action. We are not puppets. we have got laws with us, we have got every fundamental right  that a man in this country has…our constitution has not discriminated anybody…..let’s stop them who say “women need sympathy and respect,  give it to them” let’s go out and find our own way….lets pledge that we won’t let anybody use us or to make fool of ours “It’s not always necessary to be strong, but to feel strong.”. Let’s feel strong about our identity and gender……we are not vulnerable……we have got everything. Let’s start from our self and spread it to the world…….we don’t need anybody’s sympathy….Remember, “inability, vulnerability, weakness or poverty is just a state of mind” in order to face them, all we need is a strong mind.

We all are independent enough to make our decisions and strong enough to stick by them. Don’t demand anything from anyone, let’s go and earn it and if anyone comes between this go and grab him. We have enough power within us to stand for our rights and get justice”

“Be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”

Travelling in Himachal bus is more like a family affair

As I was reading today’s newspaper “The Tribune” An article by Mr. Krishna Gopal on the Himachal Road Transport Corporation struck my attention. He beautifully narrated drivers and conductors in Himachal Buses help people in need and how travelling in a HRTC bus is a delightful experience. That article reminded me several instances and experiences that I have seen in all these years during my travel in buses.

At some desolate wayside spot, a hand was projected from the sidewalk and the bus halted. A woman moved in and finding no seat vacant reconciled to travel standing. A young man quietly vacated his seat for her. At another point, an old man boarded and likewise another young man gave up his comfortable seat for him. One can often see even women giving up their comfortable seats to elders in bus. At yet another point, a man handed over to the driver a sum of Rs 10,000 to be delivered to a person at some other village en route. At still another point a girl waiting by the roadside, advanced towards the driver’s door and handed over a lunchbox for her father serving at a station en route. I am sure many of you have seen such instances in your travel time here. Such is the beauty of this place that No matter at what place  you are in , be it mandi, kangra, Shimla, solan or manali, such scenes are everywhere to see. There is a very cordial relationship between passengers and drivers- conductors in himachal.

It’s been 6 years that I am continuously using bus services, earlier for college and now to job and in these entire years one thing that didn’t change is this hostile relationship btw fellow passenger and drivers- conductors, after initial greetings people get indulge in talking about general family cultures, politics and cricket. One can hardly think of them as strangers. It more likes a family atmosphere during travel. I have observed various times how our conductor is always ready to forgo his seat for some needy passenger. In the sweltering heat, if someone asks for water, the driver hands over his own water bottle. Even if a passenger requests the conductor to help hi, in bringing down his baggage from the rooftop, he conveniently agrees. I see all this almost daily and thinking about  it always put a smile on my face and  that’s why I often say travelling in Himachal is blissful, learning and  more of like a family affair.

Though I have travelled a lot in other state buses too but never seen or had any such beautiful instance during those travels. Even once had a brawl with a conductor who misbehaved with an old women coming from Chandigarh in Haryana road transport corporation. She was old and pleaded to driver to stop her mid station as it would take long for her to come all the way from station to home. First, despite her several pleadings he didn’t apply the brakes and when at last he did, he did it so forcefully that old women fell in the bus. The HRTC buses, on the contrary have quite smart crew members who do not compromise with reasonable speed and yet perform all humane tasks with open heart.

I know there may be so many states, villages, cities in India where such incidents can be seen or observed but as far as Himachal is concerned I must say a journey by a local or HRTC bus definitely corroborates its motto “Safe Service, Courteous Service”.
